WITH less than a month to go before the May polls, Team PNoy senatorial candidate Edgardo “Sonny” Angara climbed three percentage points from 39 to 42, based on the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Angara is now at 9th place after landing 12th in March.
“I am very grateful to the people for their growing support and trust. This is a sign that our tireless campaign to explain our advocacy for quality education and jobs generation is gaining traction,” he said.
Angara added that he is now more inspired to double his campaign efforts in order to sustain his improvement in rankings until the actual elections on May 13.
The SWS survey, conducted from April 13 to 15, showed that administration coalition candidates continue to dominate the senatorial race, with nine making it to the list of probable winners. Only three candidates of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) had a statistical chance of winning a Senate seat if the elections were held this month.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker from Aurora warned the public against black propaganda machinery that would try to dislodge Team PNoy candidates from the winners’ circle.
“With 21 days remaining in the campaign, I urge everyone to stop engaging in black propaganda and to focus instead on the candidates’ platform and stand on the pressing issues of the country,” he said.
