BUREAU of Immigration intelligence officer Abdul Latif Laguindab gives bottled water to the two minors who were deported at the NAIA Terminal 2 the other night.
The two were deported to China after they were caught with nine men poaching in Philippine waters. The undocumented minors were identified as He Zhuang and Li Xiang Hui, who were turned over by the Palawan Regional Trial Court to authorities and directly kicked out via Philippine Airlines flight PR 382 bound to Beijing.
They were included in the immigration blacklist for being illegal entrant and for poaching.
The nine Chinese poachers were charged with violation of two laws on fisheries and wildlife protection remain at the Palawan provincial jail after they rejected the offer to be presented by a public attorney during the hearing. Charged with illegal entry and undocumented alien were boat captain Chen Yi Quan and chief engineer Chen Ze Hao and their crew Shi Xian Xiong, Shi Liang Duong, He Chuan, Huang Ji Xuan, He Sheng Bao, He Yuan Cheng and Lu Chuan Fang.
They were caught on May 6 poaching around 216 live turtles, like Green Sea and Hawks Bill considered all critically endangered species of wildlife, and 381 assorted dead turtles.
