EIGHT Moro rebels, including a sub-commander of the Misuari breakaway faction, surrendered to the authorities on Tuesday in Zamboanga City where fighting between government troops and rebels still on going.
Quoting reports, PNP Spokesman, Senior Supt. Wilben Mayor identified the sub-commander who surrendered as Eddue Alimuddin, alias Commander Salip Adjal.
The other rebel surrenderee were identified as Jamal Appang; Ruben Jammang; Rudy Enil; Isid Abas; Langa Jal; Tadzmir Gadjali and Edwin Ibrahim.
The reports said they surrendered to government troops at Martha Drive., Brgy. Catalina, one the villages occupied for nearly two weeks by MNLF rebels.
Mayor said the surrendered rebels are now at the custody of Zamboanga City Police office for processing and proper disposition.
