PINANGALANAN ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang 17 unregistered household insecticides na kailangan tanggalin sa merkado dahil may panganib na dulot sa kalusugan.
Sa isang advisory ng FDA, na attached agency ng Department of Health (DOH), na ang mga produkto ay mapanganib sa kalusugan dahil ang kanilang “active ingredient ay hindi kilala at maaring magdulot ng sakit sa mga mamimili.
Labinglima sa 17 produkto ay mula sa China.
“There are insecticides that are banned in the Philippines, and these toxic products are being smuggled and dumped in the country,” pahayag ng FDA kasabay ng panawagan sa Bureau of Customs na maging mapagmatyag para hindi maipsulit ang mga produkto sa bansa.”
