A remittance-shop was robbed of thousand pesos of cash by two still unidentified gunmen Friday night in a sub-urban village of Surigao City, police reports said Sunday.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said robbed by gunmen was the LBC-Surigao Branch located at Rizal- Kaimo Street, Brgy. Washington, Surigao City.
The reports said the robbery incident occured at around 6:50pm Friday when the two gunmen forced their way in at the remittance-center, which was about to close at that time.
Witnesses said that a certain Alan Caduyac, 33, an LBC employee was about to enter the shop when the two gunmen sneaked in from behind and held the employees at gunpoint, the reports said.
The reports said the gunmen once inside began ransacking the shop and carted away cash amountinhg to P329,825 and postdated bills amounting to P8,035.
The gunmen then boarded a motorcycle with unknown color and place and fled towards the direction of Butuan City, reports said.
The reports police conducted a ot pursuit operation in coordination with other units in the field for possible arrest of the suspects.
