TWO farmers were shot to death by still unidentified gunmen late Sunday afternoon while on their way home in a remote village in Agusan del Sur, police reports said on Tuesday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the two victims as Angelito Logronio, 43 and Florentino Adahan, 44 and both from Brgy Doña Flavia, San Luis town.
The reports said the shooting incident at around 4:50pm Sunday along a road in Purok-1, Brgy Sta. Ines, San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
The two victims were riding a motorcycle and was on their way home coming from Brgy. Dimasalang when they were shot by the suspects, reports said.
The reports said Logronio sustained gunshot wounds at the back portion of his head and lower right armpit while Adahan sustained gunshot wound on his right breast.
Both victims were rushed to Rural Health Unit in San Luis but were proclaimed dead on arrival by the attending physician, reports said.
The reports said that police are still conducting investigation to identify, arrest the suspects and determine the motive of the incident.
