A farmer was hacked to death by his neighbor at Sitio Banacan, Barangay Victoria, Tago, Surigao del Sur shortly before noon yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Timjun A. Arcillas , 36, and suspect as Emelito M. Espinoza, 32, both resident of the same place.
Probers said the victim and the suspect were seen having a drinking session before the hacking incident happened at 11:30 p.m.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police after killing Arcillas with a sharp bladed weapon locally known as Sundang. An appropriate charge is now being prepared by Tago police.
