STA. ROSA, Laguna – Teddy Casiño arrives at Balibago early in the morning and is welcomed by hundreds of delegates from Laguna as he prepares himself for another round of “Takbo Teddy Takbo”, his running spree for senator.
Casiño starts his run from Sta. Rosa Waltermart to Balibago Complex where he joins breakfast with Brgy. Capt. Digoy Malapitan and attends Luklukan Festival in celebration of the Feast of Chair of St. Peter.
“Casiño’s arrival in Sta. Rosa is just in time for the celebration of the Feast of St. Peter,” Bani Cambronero, spokesperson of Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan-Southern Tagalog (Makabayan-ST) explains, “for St. Peter served the poor, the weak and the needy, which is Casiño’s vision.”
After having breakfast, Casiño’s caravan takes off and passes by the Lakeside Barangays of Sta. Rosa and Biñan, Laguna.
After the caravan, Casiño attends the Sampaguita Festival Parade, the only festival in the country that commemorates its national flower – Sampaguita. His friends and supporters welcome him as he celebrates the festival with them.
“People warmly welcome Casiño in every place he goes to. This is because Casiño takes note of the people’s problems that give them a TKO in their everyday lives. These are the increase in the prices of T-tubig, K-kuryente and O-oil and these are what Casiño is against of and challenging his co-senatoriables to tackle on.” Cambronero says.
Despite the lack of campaign materials and resources to fund his campaign, Teddy Casiño “believes that the thing he needs to win is the people he struggles along with to win their fight”. Cambronero concludes, “For the people know that Casiño, as a true representative of the people, will bring their struggles to the senate.”
