HINIMOK ng ilang kongresista ang Supreme Court (SC) na magdaos din ng Bar examinations hindi lamang sa Manila kundi maging sa Visyas at Mindanao.
Ito ayon sa mga mambabatas ay mas praktikal kung sabay-sabay naman itong gagawin ng Supreme Court.
“At present, Section 11, Rule 138 (Attorneys and Admission to BAR) of the Rules of Court provide that, “Examinations for admission to the bar of the Philippines shall take place annually in the City of Manila,” ayon sa magkapatid na kongresista na sina Reps. Rufus Rodriguez (2nd District, Cagayan de Oro City) at Abante Mindanao party-list Rep. Maximo Rodriguez.
Inihain ng magkapatid ang House Resolution No. 1023 na humihikayat sa Supreme Court “to seriously consider the holding of the annual Bar examinations in Manila, Cebu City and Cagayan de Oro City simultaneously.”
Ang Philippine Bar examination ay isang professional licensure examination para sa mga abogado sa buong bansa.
