POLICE are investigating the death of an Indian couple whose bodies were discovered by a fisherman along the shoreline of a remote village in Iloilo province early dawn Wednesday, reports said.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the discovered bodies as belonging to Kulwant Singh and spouse, Charnjet Kaur, both are between 34 to 36-yrs old and residing at Brgy. Tabuc, Suba, Jaro, Iloilo.
Regional police commander, Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr., quoting reports said the couple’s bodies were discovered at around 1am Wednesday along the shoreline of Brgy. Poblacion East, Oton, Iloilo.
The police official said the Indian’s couple bodies were found by a certain Edgar Fabiano, while he was walking along the shoreline.
When found, the man’s head bore some injuries and his hands and feet were tied with a masking tape, with his right arm bearing a tattoo, wearing stripe gray colored polo shirt with white sando and blue maong pants, the police official said.
The police official added that the woman’s body, when discovered, also bore several head injuries and her mouth was covered with a masking tape, wearing black longsleeve shirt and maong pants.
Police are now investigating the said incident to determine the motive and the suspects behind the killing of the Indian couple, the police official said.
