THE Philippine National Police (PNP) clarified on Friday that police personnel charged for their involvement in the Atimonan bloodbath early this month will continue to draw their salaries.

At least 22 police officers were placed under restrictive custody in Camp Crame and administratively charged for violating police operational procedures (POP) in the Atimonan incident.

Director Alexander Roldan, the chief of the PNP Internal Affairs Service (IAS) said that restricted policemen will continue to receive their salaries despite of the filling of administrative charges against them.

“They will still receive their salaries since they are not yet found guilty… we will be supporting them through other means like food and supplements for them,” Roldan told Camp Crame reporters.
