“Today, following an investigation and based on evidence, Janet Napoles, a number of lawmakers, their staff, and other government officials, were charged with plunder, malversation of public funds, and other charges in connection with the alleged misuse of the Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF). The filing of charges continues a process prescribed by the Constitution and is proof that our democratic system and our legal processes are working. All the accused will be given their day in court under a fair and impartial trial,” ani Sec. Carandang.
