ALTHOUGH some government agencies are conducting investigation on the P10 billion pork scam allegedly orchestrated by Jean Lim-Napoles, the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee should make its own investigation to clear innocent lawmakers dragged into the controversy.
However, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero said on Sunday that to materialize the objective in the resolution he filed, it is on the hands of Senator Teofisto Guingona III, who is the chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
Escudero said the objective of the probe is to clean the image of the Senate as an institution, not to scandalize lawmakers who are implicated in the scam in order to stop piecemeal expose where every legislators, even innocent ones, were dragged into the scandal.
