PAPATAWAN ng penalties at surcharge ang sinumang individual, business at corporate taxpayers na maibibigong makapag-file ng kanilang annual income tax returns sa itinakdang deadline bukas (Lunes, Abril 15, 2013) at kasong criminal charge of tax evasion ang kakaharapin ng mga ito dahil sapat na anya ang haba ng pnahong ibinigay ng Bureau of Internal Revenue para tumupad sa tax obligations ang taxpaying-public.
Inatasan ni BIR Commissioner Kim Henares sina BIR Regional Directors Nestor Valeroso (Makati City), Pip Madulara (Manila), Gery Florendo (Caloocan City) at Jonas Dela Pena Amora (Quezon City) na ipatupad ang memorandum order ni BIR DeCom Lucita Rodriguez na hanggang alas-5:00 lamang ng hapon (office hour) tatanggap ng bayad o returns ang BIR at hindi na tatanggapin ang mga late-filers at papatawan ng penalties at surchage ang mga ito bilang kaparushan.
“We will now remind or advise our taxpayers to file their income tax returns and pay the taxes due thereon before April, 15 to avoid the consequences of filing and paying on the very deadline itself like the last minute and posible failure to beat the deadline. We must also inform the public that penalties and surcharge shall be imposed for income tax returns filled after office hours on the last filing day,” pahayag ni BIR Senior Depcom Nelson Aspe.
Ang ‘no extention bulletin board’ sa deadline ng bayaran ng buwis bukas (Lunes, Abril, 15) ay ipinaskel sa lahat ng branches ng BIR nina Metro Manila Revenue District Officers Albin Galanza, Ed Tolentino, Ramer Narvaez, Isa Paulino, Dante Aninag, Luis Chito Alberto, Armand Tria, Gery Dumayas, Raul Recto, Sol Adapon, Mariz Rabago-Uy, Ric Espiritu, Lorna Tobias, Tedy Huelva at Pete Fernando upang ipaalala sa taxpaying public ang obligasyon sa pagbabayad ng buwis at upang makaiwas sa penalties at charges.
Ang target goal ng BIR ngayong taong ito ay halos P1.3 trillion, mas mataas kung ihahambing sa nakaraang goal na P1.006 trillion lamang.
