A farmer was shot dead by still unidentified gunman Tuesday noon at his home in a remote village in Prosperidad town in Agusan del Sur, police reports said on Wednesday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the victim was Sinen Pilapil, 42 and resident of Brgy. Libertad in Prosperidad town.
The reports said the incident occurred at around 12:01 noontime Tuesday when the suspect appeared from nowhere and shot the victim several times while was sitting at the terrace of his home in the said village.
The victim, who was hit on different parts of his body, died on the spot with the suspect quickly fled towards still unknown direction, the reports said.
The reports said that elements of the Prosperidad municipal police office are now investigating the said incident in to determine the identity, motive and immediate arrest of the suspect.
